    NFC

Minnesota Vikings QB Brett Favre posted a thank you note on his website for the support he received this past season from the Vikings fans, but there was no indication on whether he will return to the Vikings in 2010.

RB Steve Slaton (Texans) underwent a discectomy to relieve pressure on the nerve root that was causing the problem in his spine.

    RB Brian Westbrook
The fact that he was due a paycheck of $7.25 million this year was a big reason why Brian Westbrook has been released by the Eagles. The 30-year-old back also missed half of the '09 season with two concussions and an ankle injury. Not many teams will pay him that kind of money, but even if he does land somewhere, it's safe to say he won't be the fantasy back of years past.

    RB LaDainian Tomlinson
The "LaDainian Tomlinson" era has come to an end in San Diego as the Chargers released the nine-year veteran today. Tomlinson, who turns 31 this summer, should still attract interest from several teams.

    WR Matt Jones
Cincinnati Bengals have signed unrestricted free-agent WR Matt Jones (Jaguars) to a one-year deal worth around $700,000.

Josh Reed / WR / FA

David Patten / WR / NE

With the uncertainty of Wes Welker's availability (knee) for the 2010 season, the Patriots have signed free agent WR David Patten. The 35-year-old receiver played for New England from 2001 to 2004 and was out of football last year.

      Nick Folk / K / NYJ

The Jets signed Folk, who was released by Dallas in December. If incumbent kicker Jay Feely leaves in free agency, Folk provides insurance. If Feely re-signs, Folk provides training camp competition.
