    Northcutt has been acquired by Detroit in a trade with Jacksonville. He'll likely fill the slot receiver role between starters Calvin Johnson and Bryant Johnson.

    Donte Stallworth / WR / Cle

    Stallworth has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL following his recent DUI/manslaughter conviction. We seriously doubt he’ll have much, if any, fantasy impact in ’09. The Browns are scrambling to find a receiver to play opposite Braylon Edwards. They signed free agents David Patten and Mike Furrey during the off-season, but word has it that rookies Brian Robiskie and Mohamed Massaquoi will get long looks in camp too.

    Cleo Lemon / QB / FA

    Lemon has been released by Jacksonville. Todd Bouman moves into the second slot behind David Garrard.

    Donte Stallworth / WR / Cle

    Stallworth has pleaded guilty to a DUI manslaughter charge and will begin serving a 30-day jail sentence immediately. This will be followed by two years of house arrest. He will also likely face discipline by the NFL for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. While Stallworth’s fantasy status is the least of what should be considered here – a man was killed because of Stallworth's carelessness – he’s unlikely to be a factor in 2009.

    Brandon Lloyd / WR / Den

    Following his release from Chicago, Lloyd has signed with Denver. His signing is a bit interesting since Brandon Marshall has made a request to the Broncos that they trade him and Lloyd played last season with new Denver starting QB Kyle Orton.

    Patrick has been suspended by the NFL for the first four games of the 2009 season for using a banned substance.

    James Thrash / WR / FA

    Thrash has been released by the Redskins. The 12-year veteran WR has a bulging disk in his neck which will likely force him to retire.

    Brett Favre / QB / FA

    The fact that Favre has now had two recent surgeries seems to point at him preparing for a return this season. If he does, the most likely place will be Minnesota. Favre had surgery to repair a torn biceps tendon in May and then had a procedure performed on his throwing shoulder this past weekend.

    Hart had surgery during the off-season to repair a torn ACL, but Indy says he'll be ready to participate in training camp. Hart and rookie Donald Brown will contend for the no. 2 RB job.

    Anthony Gonzalez / WR / Ind

    With the prospect of replacing Marvin Harrison in the starting lineup, Gonzalez has generated a lot of fantasy buzz this off-season. However, he suffered a leg injury on June 6th and the Colts have not released any details.

    Adam Vinatieri / K / Ind

    After reporting pain in his right (kicking) hip during mini-camp, Vinatieri underwent a surgical procedure. At this time, the Colts are optimistic that the procedure will benefit him and they expect Vinatieri to be ready to go by training camp.

    Brian Westbrook / RB / Phi

    The Eagles have confirmed that Westbrook will undergo surgery for what is called a “debridement” of the ankle. In layman’s terms, this is a procedure to remove bone spurs. Ordinarily, this might not be a big deal for fantasy owners, but this will be Westbrook’s second post-season operation relating to a high ankle sprain suffered last year.

    Brandon Marshall / WR / Den

    KDVR, a FOX television affiliate in Denver, is reporting that Marshall will not be suspended for his arrest on disorderly conduct charges in March of this year. Marshall said he was informed today by the NFL that the league will not take disciplinary action against him.

    Leonard has been traded by the Rams to Cincinnati for a defensive tackle. He had minor fantasy value in St. Louis and we don't see that changing with this transaction.

    Nick Folk / K / Dal

    The Associated Press is reporting that Folk is recovering from surgery to repair a torn cartilage in his hip. The Cowboys said Wednesday that Folk, a Pro Bowl selection as a rookie in 2007, should resume light kicking work in about eight weeks. They’re hopeful he can handle full kicking work in 12 weeks, around the start of training camp. The Cowboys picked USC kicker David Buehler(notes) in the fifth round of the draft last month.

    Following his release by Detroit, Furrey has signed with Cleveland. He'll have a good opportunity with the Browns who will likely lose WR Donte' Stallworth because of an off-the-field incident.
