Optimistically, he might be ready for the season opener in September, but realistically, it's likely to be much later. A torn ACL is a more devastating injury for a receiver who has to make sharp, precise cuts. We don't think we'll see him until the latter half of the '10 season.
Fantasy lost one of its premier QBs today when Warner announced his retirement. It would seem that Matt Leinart's time has now finally come, but only time will tell if he's truly ready to make the leap to being a starter.
Stewart had successful surgery on his left Achilles' tendon, Wednesday, January 20th. He is expected to be healthy to participate in the Panthers' minicamp in May.
